Ik heb dit interessante evenement in Brussel bezocht, veel workshops bezocht en contacten gelegd. De Europese Unie erkent meer en meer het belang van de regio's binnen Europa. Hier wordt de EU zichtbaar voor de burgers, lokale en regionale overheden, bedrijven en instellingen! Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, waar ikzelf woon is onderdeel van zo'n regio, die dan ook nog grensoverschrijdend is. De ontwikkeling van zo'n regio mag rekenen op aandacht en steun vanuit de EU. Hier liggen de kansen voor ontwikkelingen dichtbij de mensen en gericht op de specifieke behoeften van een regio. Laten we samen deze kansen benutten!

I visited this interesting event in Brussels, attended many workshops and made contacts. The European Union increasingly recognizes the importance of the regions within Europe. Here the EU becomes visible to citizens, local and regional authorities, companies and institutions! Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, where I live myself, is part of such a region, which is therefore cross-border. The development of such a region can count on attention and support from the EU. Here the opportunities for developments are close to the people and focused on the specific needs of a region. Let's use these opportunities together!
